Final personal training session. I had always worked out as if I were running away from something. Though I sensed that my trainer’s kindness wasn’t just politeness, I could never be sure. And today, after the workout, as he helped me stretch and stared at me intently, he said: “I hope you’ve been thinking about me. And if you’ve started to like me… even better.” At those words, I nodded and accepted his kiss.
