Unexpected Afterdate

My brother’s wedding had a greater impact on me than I had expected. Bittersweet. It was a feeling far too complex and difficult to define with just one word. Regardless of my emotions, the wedding ended without a hitch, and before leaving for his honeymoon, my brother entrusted me with organizing the after-party. I worried for a moment whether I could handle it alone, but then he introduced someone to me, saying “You can work with him.”
