Though I am but a woman of no standing -- without even a concubine’s title, and thus unworthy to appear before You or hope to be shown further favour -- I choose to believe that the kindness You showed me that day was truly from Your heart. With the trace You left behind as my only keepsake, I shall cherish it faithfully, and await the day Your Majesty graces me with Your presence once more.
