In the Midst of Summer

On a scorching summer day, I went to a riverside pension with my boyfriend. Since it was a weekday, the valley was quiet and peaceful. After dipping our feet in the water and relaxing, we took out the watermelon we had chilled in the stream and went back to the pension. We turned on the air conditioner and enjoyed the cool watermelon, but when I accidentally dripped some, he gently wiped my face with a tissue. Then, as a “thank you fee,” he gave me a peck on the lips. But that wasn’t enough for me—I pulled him in for a real kiss.
