The Last Page

A small bookstore at the end of the alley. It’s been about three years since I quit my job and opened this shop. Although I started this journey out of my love for books, it hasn’t always been as satisfying now that it’s become work. Day by day, I’d go through the motions until she walked in. Not many people visit this quiet, independent bookstore, so when she, someone around my age, opened the door and stepped inside, I felt something stir within me. Watching her as she enjoyed the books made that feeling grow even stronger.
