A Promise Made 15 Years Ago

A promise we made fifteen years ago -- to meet again when the first snow fell. I thought it was just childish bravado from our younger days, but ironically, both he and I remembered it. Our meeting at Namsan Tower was proof enough. There he was, standing amid the heavy snowfall. We drank together at his place, one glass after another. And whether it was the alcohol or the long-suppressed longing, we found ourselves craving each other more desperately than we ever had during all the years we’d been apart.
