Boat

I accepted the invitation of the Count to whom I had promised marriage. The chorus of night insects chirping, the scenery around us -- everything felt grand and beautiful, enough to make me regret all the delays until now. The Count said that we had not merely surrendered to fate, but chosen it for ourselves. Perhaps that was why he so boldly sought to affirm my will and my sincerity. And so, that night became one I could never forget.
